E-Homes Global Inclusive Limited, product of Rentilly, processes your personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, the NDPC General Application and Implementation Directive, and CBN customer identification requirements.

Last updated: 4 September 2026 · Governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

01Who we are

E-Homes Global Inclusive Limited (RC: 9063796) is a company incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020. We operate the Rentilly mobile application, a zero-agent rental, property sale and escrow platform for the Nigerian market. Registered office: No. 4 Ehomes Close, Zartech Area, Oluyole, Ibadan.

For the purposes of the NDPA 2023 we act as a Data Controller for tenant, buyer, landlord, seller and partner account data, and as a Data Processor where we handle data on behalf of a licensed financial partner.

02Personal data we collect

  • Identity data: full name, date of birth, photograph, BVN and NIN submitted for KYP verification.
  • Contact data: phone number, email address, residential address and next of kin details.
  • Property data: listings, inspection bookings, tenancy agreements, title documents, sale agreements, deeds of assignment and statutory notices.
  • Financial data: wallet balances, escrow transactions, virtual dollar card activity and settlement bank accounts.
  • Technical data: device identifiers, IP address, app version and push notification tokens.

03Lawful basis for processing

  • Performance of a contract — operating your tenancy, escrow and wallet services.
  • Legal obligation — CBN Know Your Customer rules and the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022.
  • Legitimate interest — fraud prevention, blacklist screening and platform security.
  • Consent — marketing messages and optional features, which you may withdraw at any time in the app.

04How we use your data

  • Verify identity through BVN and NIN checks before funds move.
  • Hold and release rent and property purchase funds through escrow, and produce transaction records.
  • Issue and manage virtual dollar cards through our licensed card issuing partner.
  • Generate legally binding tenancy agreements, sale agreements, deeds of assignment and statutory notices.
  • Detect fraud, duplicate listings and blacklisted actors.

05Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We share only what is strictly necessary with licensed partners and authorities.

  • Our licensed payment partners for payment processing, settlement and card issuance.
  • Licensed identity verification bodies and providers approved for BVN and NIN validation. Rentilly does not maintain the BVN or NIN database; verification is performed by these licensed providers.
  • Regulators and law enforcement — CBN, NFIU, EFCC and the courts — where legally compelled.
  • Professional advisers bound by confidentiality obligations.

06Data retention

Financial and escrow records are retained for a minimum of five years after the end of the relationship, as required by Nigerian anti-money-laundering rules. Tenancy agreements are retained for the duration of the tenancy, and sale agreements and title records for six years after completion, to cover limitation periods for contractual claims.

07Your rights under the NDPA

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion where we have no overriding legal obligation to retain it.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent for marketing.
  • Request portability of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

08Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to escrow and wallet systems is restricted, logged and reviewed. Card data is handled entirely by our PCI-DSS compliant issuing partner and never stored on Rentilly servers.

09Cross-border transfers

Some of our technology and verification providers process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we transfer personal data only under Section 41 of the NDPA 2023 — to a jurisdiction with adequate protection, or under contractual clauses that impose NDPA-equivalent obligations on the recipient, or with your explicit consent. A list of the categories of overseas processors is available on request.

10Data breach notification

If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we notify the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and notify affected users without undue delay, describing what happened, the likely impact and the steps we are taking.

11Cookies and analytics

This website uses only cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary for the site to function, plus aggregate, non-identifying usage analytics. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The Rentilly app uses device identifiers and push tokens as described above. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings.

12Children's data

Rentilly is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we delete any such data once identified.

13Automated decisions

Fraud, blacklist and sanctions screening involve automated checks. A negative automated result never permanently closes an account on its own — a human reviewer examines the case, and you may contest the outcome and request a manual review through Contact Us.

14Contacting our Data Protection Officer

Send data protection requests to info@myrentilly.com or write to the Data Protection Officer, E-Homes Global Inclusive Limited, No. 4 Ehomes Close, Zartech Area, Oluyole, Ibadan. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. E-Homes Global Inclusive Limited, product of Rentilly, reviews these terms with Nigerian counsel; where this policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of Nigerian law, the law prevails. Rentilly is not a bank; banking services are provided by licensed financial partners.
